Small Business of the Year Award
DavenportOne Now Accepting Applications for Small Business of the Year Award
DavenportOne is now accepting nominations for the Small Business of the Year award. The DavenportOne Small Business of the Year award honors successful small businesses that help build the foundation of our local economy.
“Small businesses contribute a tremendous amount to the Quad Cities and this award presents an opportunity to recognize and highlight the success of small businesses in our area,” said Chris Townsend, owner of Townsend Engineering and chairman of the DavenportOne Small Business Council. |

More than 80 percent of DavenportOne’s membership comprises small businesses. Nationwide, small businesses represent 99.7 percent of all employer firms and employ half of all private-sector employees, according to the Small Business Administration.
To be eligible for the award, a business must be:

A member in good standing of the DavenportOne Chamber of Commerce at time of nomination (June 10, 2008) and award presentation (July 23, 2008)

In business for a minimum of three full years
-
Have fewer than 50 employees
-
For-profit business headquartered in the Quad-City region
The deadline for submitting nominations is June 10, 2008 by 5:00 p.m.
Self-nominations will be accepted. The winner will be announced at the DavenportOne Annual Meeting on July 23. For event details, click here.
